The maternal line holds the keys to everything — how we flow, how we grieve, how we give and receive care, how we belong to ourselves and to the living world around us.
From the mother line, we learn how to be in relationship to everything and everyone around us. How to attune to nature, to others, to our own bodies. How to move through the world with compassion and intuition as guides. This is the original inheritance of the maternal — a deep and ancient intelligence passed through the DNA of every woman who came before us.
But the patriarchy interrupted that inheritance. For generations, mothers of the global majority were asked — or forced — to give everything and receive almost nothing. The constant extraction of care, labor, and body often has a numbing effect on us. Mothers who found themselves alone, holding the family, holding the community, holding the grief of all the things they were never allowed to want for themselves.
Each mother made their own choice in the face of that weight.
That inheritance lives in us too. In the way we over-give and under-receive. In the guilt that rises when we rest. In the four archetypes that emerge in women shaped by this lineage: the Wounded Child who never got to simply be held; the Slave who learned that love is earned through sacrifice; the Sinister Mother who had to harden in order to survive; and the one our culture still shames most — the woman who dared to take up space, claim desire, and refuse to disappear.
What the Mothers Carried Quietly is a 2-hour family constellations circle devoted to honoring the full complexity of the maternal line — not to assign blame, but to finally see what was placed in us without consciousness, and what it would mean to put it down.
In this session, we will explore:
• The ancestral and cultural roots of how we learned — or didn't learn — to care for ourselves
• The four feminine archetypes and how they live in our bodies, relationships, and daily patterns
• How patriarchal violence on the maternal line passes down as inherited survival strategies
• What it means to reclaim the original gifts of the mother line — flow, compassion, and deep attunement to self and world
Through guided constellation work, ritual, and collective witnessing, you'll have space to honor what the mothers before you carried — and to begin returning what was never yours to hold alone.
This is not about blaming our mothers. It's about understanding the forces that shaped them, releasing what they could not, and finally receiving what the maternal line always intended to give us.
Come as you are. All bodies are welcome.
Family and Systems Constellations is a tool to help us understand the unconscious motivations that limit our hearts and minds from living freely and openly. This process allows us to explore how our unconscious commitments play out in relationships to people, archetypes and experiences in the world. Participants will have an opportunity to constellate issues related to family dynamics, money, health and other issues important to them. We will look closely at how family and system dynamics repeat themselves in our daily lives and in our collective history. Our aim is to see what is unseen, bring ease and or reconciliation so that we can restore balance to the system, whether individual or collective.
